SIX GENERATIONS OF HOWE.
FORTY YEARS SERVING Kids.
ONE CLEAR COMMITMENT.

Howe ISD deserves leadership grounded in experience, accountability, and lifelong dedication to our community. Randy Hayes has spent four decades working with kids, serving families, teaching in our schools, and leading with integrity.

Randy served as an Executive Engineering Manager, overseeing high-performing teams, managing substantial budgets, and leading complex, high-value contracts with major corporate clients.

Now, he is ready to serve Howe again with steady leadership and open doors for every parent, teacher, and student.

A LIFETIME INVESTED IN HOWE ISD

Experience You Can Measure. Commitment You Can Trust

Randy Hayes is not stepping into this race as a newcomer with opinions. He brings over 40 years of direct involvement working with kids. From serving as a youth leader, life group leader for boys in grades 7th through 12th, substitute teacher, and Sunday school teacher to being a certified foster parent and signed up for trained to be a CASA volunteer, Randy has spent decades guiding and supporting young people in meaningful ways.

His experience reaches across every level of education. As a substitute teacher within Howe ISD, he has worked with students from Pre-K through high school, including Special Education, Gifted and Talented programs, DAEP, and in-school suspension. He understands the different needs students face because he has worked directly with them in real classroom environments.

Randy has coached multiple teams, served as PTO Vice President at the high school, volunteered alongside Coach Simmons in physical education and Day of Champions events, and helped support student leadership efforts within Howe High School. His leadership also includes seven years as a church board member, where he handled real budget and personnel decisions.

Beyond the classroom, Randy’s commitment to Howe runs deep. He has served on the Howe all-school reunion committee for 16 years, contributed to youth programs across two churches, and spent 10 years in bus ministry alongside his father. As a sixth-generation Howe resident and a graduate of Howe ISD from 1st through 12th grade, his connection to this community is not temporary. It is generational.

Leadership That Shows Up Before and After Election Day

This campaign is about more than a date on the calendar. It is about who will consistently show up for students, teachers, and families long after the votes are counted.

Randy Hayes has spent over 40 years working with kids across every stage of development. He has taught in classrooms from Pre-K to High School, supported Special Education and Gifted students, volunteered as a coach, served on PTO leadership, and he negotiated with multi-million-dollar budgets with large companies like large data projects and personnel decisions. He has also guided youth as a life group leader, Sunday school teacher, and church camp counselor, giving him a deeper understanding of mentorship beyond the classroom. His involvement is not seasonal. It is lifelong.

Election Day matters. But long-term commitment matters more.

Randy Hayes, I have always known you to be one of the kindest, most generous & compassionate humans that I know. I have also known you to be truthful. Talkative... yes, but so am I! HA! You have a heart of pure GOLD! I had no idea you were receiving hate for attending a memorial service & sharing about that experience.... for the LOVE! WHAT is wrong with people? I am saddened & sickened to hear this! I agree with you. I am not a MAGA/Trump supporter. I am always going to vote or lean towards a party that most closely aligns with my Biblical beliefs. I do not think all conservative Christians fully support or appreciate everything Trump says & does. I also believe all media is biased. Anyway... going down a rabbit hole, now (see there is that talkative Misty). What I most want to say is Randy, I hope you never change. You are loved & appreciated just as you are. I really like who you are. I barely knew you through church & then Derek ended up in ICU. You reached out to my family & shared your family's cancer story with me.... You took us in. You did things behind the scenes to truly HELP & bless my family. More than I can list here. I am eternally grateful for your kindness & love for people. Thank you.
