With over 40 years of experience working with kids, serving families, and supporting educators, Randy Hayes brings real-world insight to every decision. As a longtime community member, substitute teacher across all grade levels, and someone who has worked directly with students in classrooms and mentorship roles, he understands what Howe ISD needs to move forward.
His focus is clear: protect academic standards, support teachers, manage resources responsibly, and ensure every student in Howe ISD has the opportunity to succeed.

Leadership for Howe ISD should not be experimental. It should be built on experience, consistency, and long-term commitment to students and families. Randy Hayes brings over 40 years of involvement working directly with youth through classrooms, coaching, and community leadership.
His experience includes serving as a substitute teacher across all grade levels in Howe ISD, working with students in Pre-K, Special Education, Gifted and Talented programs, middle school, high school, DAEP, and in-school suspension. Beyond the classroom, he has spent years mentoring students as a youth leader, life group leader for 7th through 12th grade, a substitute teacher, Sunday school teacher, and church camp counselor.
Randy has also coached multiple youth teams, served in PTO leadership as high school Vice President, and volunteered in school programs alongside educators. His leadership extends into real decision-making roles, including seven years as a church board member handling budget and personnel responsibilities, as well as over 16 years contributing to the Howe alumni reunion committee.
This is not surface-level involvement. It is decades of consistent, hands-on experience built within the same community he is committed to serving.
